is it a FICHT/injection model or carbs?
cooling issues and injector problems were the main issues you heard of, a friends injection 90 rude (same engine) certainly had those and £££££££. spent a lot of money on it until it seized unfortunately.
i don't know if he was unlucky or what but if you google ficht issues you see a lot of complaints, mostly the larger size as that is what our USA cousins use the most so perhaps the smaller HP ones are better?
if it is a carb'd one then your only issue will be keeping fuel in it
if you are stuck i can ask where he got his bits from but i suspect it was evinrude dealer in glasgow.
