Kad 32 diesel

Been asked to service a twin set up of kad 32 engines

To me an engine is an engine what ever its bolted to , but having never worked on one before I need to go,with the correct parts ,

Oil ,air (is there one) fuel filters impellor and raw water strainer , change drive belts, change gearvoil, is there any other item I have missed? apart from obvious engine oil check adjust various inspect as you would any other beast been stood up 2 years with Volvo legs,

Also am I right in saying there is no pumps in the legs?

Cheers in advance for advice given,,,,

probably going to need bellows & anodes for legs & anodes for heatexchangers, antifreeze mixture to re-winterise it if your going to test run the engines on a hosepipe
greasegun for greasing u/j s while the legs are off & maybe racor filters for prefilters

think you should run them up before you spend money unless you know they were winterised as if they werent they could be f----d it was a v harsh winter one before last

Also check the supercharger oil and when it was last changed. Doesn't take much but it's hugely expensive stuff. Right about the belts. Kads go through belts like mad. Need a full set every year and expect a lot of belt dust around the front of them. This is normal.

DB Marine in maidenhead. Will send out parts immediately and extremely helpful. 01628 526032 ask for Richard or Mark. Used them for the last 10 years absolutely superb.
