leaking fuel, anyone know what to do?

Hi, I can't find my service manual at the moment, have a 1990 Yamaha 60 3 cyl, 2 stroke, fuel is belting out the bottom carb at what looks like an overflow port, any ideas what I need to do please guys? Thanks in advance,

Hi olly,
i guess if fuel is coming out the overflow then either the float is sunk(or stuck down), or there's sh1t under the needle valve.
you will have to take the carb off, then take the float chamber off, then slide the pivot pin out of the float to remove it, then you can see if the float is full of petrol. if not give it all a good clean in carb cleaner, and check the needle valve plunger is free and the seat undamaged and re assemble.

it may be just gummed up with stale fuel?

has it been stood for a while with petrol in the carb? if so may just be a stuck float.
sometimes a few sharp taps with a screwdriver handle of the float bowl will free it up.

If the carbs have not been rebuilt since new it might be a good time to just go through them, and replace the floats.
