Local source for hydraulic trim fluid

Hi all

I am in desperate need of a supplier of tilt/trim fluid within Manchester as I've been repeatedly let down by a company that I ordered some from several weeks ago.

The engine is a 115hp Mercury optimax and I guess I'd rather use quicksilver stuff but will happily use anything I can get my hands on as I need to do the job tomorrow.

Anyone know of anywhere locally that I can get some form?

Cheers

I had a feeling it probably was but was going to use the proper Quicksilver stuff. If so then I'll nip down to Halfords. Thanks!

Yep, Dexron III is the same stuff-though the little bottle the QS stuff is supplied in is rather useful to have for topping up with.

It's the bottle in the 2nd link that's well worth having-it makes topping up a whole load easier.

Thanks guys

It was this stuff that I had ordered originally.

May well order some more so I have it available but use standard ATF for the weekend.

The reason I need some in the first place is that I drained it all out when I unscrewed the relief valve too far when a flat battery necessitated having to tilt the engine by hand.

I'm hoping it isn't too hard to refill the system!
