Thanks to the all the replies i think i am sorted. I have a four digit figure on my barrell and not three so hopefully will be ok, i have messaged Chewy's ebay link so just waiting for a response and at that price i think i will buy 10 just in case Also really looking forward to waxing a few bottles of Mollers champagne to get the corks.....happy days.

Mighty fine SR5.4 you have and hopefully you will be able to get to the SW gathering that i have "volunteered" to organise.

Yep thanks,I,ll keep an eye open for that one.Although it might be a case of the Hare and the Tortoise if i have a pac 22 in the water.If your in front you wont need a mask&filter so there an incentive to keep a wot

gibbo all 703 boxes have different keys and numbers . if you look on the ignition barrel there is a rubber grommet over the slot were the key fits into .pull that off and there should be a three digit number . thats the key number you need . let me know I have plenty of different Yam keys in stock and can post one straight out . baz

I think the Yam Marine keys use tha same blanks as their motorcycles. Should be cheaper to have a duplicate made at a bike shop (or well-stocked hardware store) rather than a boat shop.

Don't know how your getting on with this mate but if you go the new barrel route they are very easy to wire up. Even I did first go

I ordered 2 keys from Yamaha dealer, pleasantly surprised at £2.13 a key. I would have paid £50 for one at the time i lost it....blo@dy nightmare however we live and learn...hopefully?
