Low oil pressure light flashing

Re the above filled up main tank but still same. Opened up engine and bottom of casing dripping with oil. Cannot find leak but there has been a fair amount coming from somewhere the small engine tank is empty. Any ideas.cheers. J

The only other thing I can add is that when I opened the consol tank there was a large rush of air as if there was a vacuum.

hi Jambo
on your remote oil tank you should have one of the hoses that has a blue strip on it, that is your oil pipe ,your oil tank is pressurised by crankcase pressure what i would do is refill the small oil tank as full as you can and refit the cap tightly, with the obm still ticking over bleed the oil pipe and put back on the connection and make sure that there are no oil leaks from that connection, whith the obm still ticking over CAREFULLY blead the oil pump, and when the system is preassurised then check for an oil leak, if you are lucky it might be just the small oil tank cap either loose or knackered good luck.

yes you can use the small oil tank but as you will know only for a short period of time but you must run a short hose from the crankcase union that goes to your remote oil tank to the small oil tank so the small oil tank is now connected directly to the crankcase

Hi Al
Check this morning. There was some oil in header tank so filled it up turned on engine an idled. Found leak within 2mins light did not come on even reved up and down 2/3 times but but oil coming pouring out the bottom of cap. Took of to clean and inspect when putting back on the top flat part with the wired sheeted off right round the top. Light still did not come on. Away to try and find a top.
Cheers
Billy
