OK, the rebuild is progressing well on some fronts - my pistons are now inside the cylinder block

, however I have a small problem with the manual override valve on the PT unit I got to retrofit. Namely, it's gubbed.
I got suspicuious when I saw the screw head where you would normally apply screwdriver, and then discovered the shaft had sheared. I was then quoted more than I paid for an entire PT midsection for a new replacement.
So, does anyone have a merc/ Mariner "Design 1" PT that they could remove & measure up their manual override valve? I am likely to completely destroy the one that's in there on removeal, and to put none too fine a point on it, RRP for a 1" long bit of plastic and a couple of O rings is taking the P, no matter what branding is on the box.
