Mariner 40 2 stroke year 2000.single carburettor

Back again .Well the water pump and pipe was all a success. All pumps out very well.
Reason for this post is. There is another tell tail outlet that it runs into the top of the carburettor and out again into the thermostat housing .
This outlet flow is very poor. But I don't know what this does .
Or if it should not be as strong as the main tell tail
Can anybody shed some light on this, please?
Thanks

Hello, that will be from the carb anti icing system. I’m guessing yours will be an ex RNLI
Engines as that was a standard fit on that model.
Don’t worry it’s a small amount of water that comes out from the 2nd tell tale.

Thanks turbo.
Well I didnt know if it was or not because it looks like it's been well looked after.
Plus the electric start and t+tilt had been removed.
I understand that's what they do before selling them on
That's great news all around .
BTW.
I noticed yesterday that I have water being forced out from the bottom leg seal from the mid section when in the tub
So I'm still going to have to take it apart again.
Think the tube seal must have been missed/ not lined up when I replaced the pump.

Well I dismantled and rebuilt. Got a bit confused with the kit I was sold even though it was sent by my model / serial no.
In the kit was 2 short rubber tubes. I spent ages trying to figure it out every pic I looked at showed this rubber tube that sits on the water pump and slides into or over the pick up tube. But they would not fit. (To long )and just didn't fit in or over.
I looked up into the pick up tube and I could see a rubber o ring inside.
Took it out and cleaned the area and greased the ring and pump top put it back together and all is fine. No more pressured water from the seams.
So just for anyone else who may find them in this situation I hope this helpsClick image for larger version
