Hi...i have a 40 hp mariner.....and am looking for a prop....anyone have or know where to get one

Any Mariner or Mercury dealer will get you one, you will need to know the pitch so they can match it to your old one.

The Pitch should be stamped on the propeller. Best pitch is impossible to say!. You need to get the engine to rev within its max rev band really, the prop pitch will either increase or decrease your rpm. So you need to know what max revs you are doing with the current propeller and you can work it out from there.
