Mariner Bigfoot 60Hp Two Stroke alarm issue

Hi Guys,

a small problem, perhaps you can help

on my mariner bigfoot, two stroke, the alarm 'beep' sounds constantly.
but its not a full loud beep, its just a quiet constant single continuous beeeeeeeeep.
it can hardly be heard over the engine noise, but it is percevable.

i believe its the overheat warning, but as it does it from cold, and all the time the engines running, i suspect a faulty sensor?

the engine is using oil as normal, and no change to the amounts. the engine is going like stink as normal too!

thoughts?
and if you know what i need to replace, as to where i can get it

thanks in advance.

Hi there , disconnect the TAN wire on the cylinder head end . this is the temperature wire . see what happens . you will see the wire going into the temp sender and an earth coming off it . MKAE SURE all your earths are CLEAN to a good engine ground . cheers
