Mariner serial number??

Does anyone know if the engine serial number on a mariner 40 outboard is stamped any where else other than on the mounting bracket (Someone has decided to relieve me of the metal tag with the serial number from one of my engines
Cant remember giving it to my old insurer but the new one wants it!!

It should be stamped in the core plug on the engine if its the same as my old 50
