Mariner tilt relay

Hi
I suspect the relay for the tilt/trim motor on my Mariner 50 2-stroke (3 cylinder, circa 1993) may be on the way out ( as soon as the battery gets a bit low, the tilt will go up but not down; reverse the wires to the motor and it goes down not up; all the "small" wires to the switch and relay check out; charge the battery and it's OK - so I suspect a bad relay contact).

However searching for a replacement part always seems to come up with something looking like the starter solenoid, with large brass nuts onto screws taking the wiring, sold in pairs ( up/down). My boat has a single plain black box containing both relays, apparently a sealed unit, with all the wires in and out coming out through the casing, mounted on the left rear of the motor inside the cowling. No sign of any part number. Anybody know these units please and able to suggest a source ( pref secondhand if they are pricey) or at least a part number for it?

Thanks!

Doesn't that imply that the problem is prior to the relay (as it works when the wires are reversed)?

Well, i'd understood that within the unit there are actually two relays, one up and one down, so the problem was likely an issue with the down relay (as when I reversed the wires to the motor it was pushing the up button - which would trigger the up relay - that due to the reversed polarity made the motor go down. But push the down button with it like that and it wouldn't go up). But I could be wrong on that!
