Mariner V6 flywheel advice please.

I've discovered a bit of a magnet loose & fallen off below the flywheel. When I'm looking to source a replacement some seem to have a steel collar below the magnets where mine you can feel the individual magnets.
Will these be compatible? It's an early 90's vintage.

Thanks.

Merc/mar dont do replacement magnets, you have to buy a complete flywheel.I dont know if it s compatable, but what you need to do is go to your friendly merc/mar dealer with the serial number of the engine and he can see what other OBMs that flywheel is fitted to and the serial number range, and either supply a new flywheel or find the correct second hand one.

Cheers Uncle Al. Plenty of these things available mainly in the States & typically the one that looks like an exact match is in Oz & expensive!

I don't want to get the thing all stripped down & then find I have the wrong replacement part.

Part of the problem is not having anybody useful in North Yorkshire when it comes to outboards !!!
