mariner40 flywheel

Problem......have mariner 40hp 2 stroke, manual, 2 pot, approx 1995/9 .
Problem.......half of magnets dropped out of flywheel over period of time.
Question........does anyone have flywheel for this age engine..... newer one
With magnet straps/red stator/changed ignition will not give spark, or know
Magnet kit ? Can anyone save this engine from knaka yard ?

look for any mariner dealers and ask if they have any scrappers, a note of the engine number might help, (just in case its required) or contact blackdog marine who are on this site and talk to Robbie.

I had the same problem on my Mercury 40 hp and managed to source one in the States on ebay ,worked out a lot cheaper than I could get one here even with the delivery

If it's a Yam based on try Davie as well. he has a small pile of used kit being broken for spares
- mostly Yam, but other stuff in there as well!
