Mercruiser Rev Counter
The rev counter on my Mercruiser diesel has stopped functioning. Has anyone had a similar experience, or an easy fix?

If of the analagoue type, most common problem is slight rust where needle indicator meets shaft.Magnet drawn across needle,while engine is running can free the pointer.
