Hi there ,
I was looking at a 2 stroke 150hp mercury saltwater that is for sale to put on a 5.5m ospray viper, does anyone have any idea if they are decent engines ????? Or should the search go on !?!

Hi there thanks for reply , it's for sale as a 2008 but I can't seem find any info to confirm they still made that engine in 2008 ??? It's tor sale for £2150.

IMO good engines, had one stolen 3 weeks ago, so check serial numbers, if you think its dodgy contact the Police. Price seems cheap for a 4 year old unit, how many hours?

I've seen the engine you are looking at advertised on B&O, the number advertised never answers. There are similar adverts for cheapish large engines, I'm sure the boys in blue wont be shy in contacting these people (if they actually exsist) as potential buyers.

Yes I tried phoning it but no answer ! I got an email back quick enough but no joy on phone ! I think this one needs left well alone !!!the search goes on for an engine :-)

I tried to purchase the same engine, had a mail back saying they lived in Orkney and I could view if I wanted. I asked for serial no's and the name of a carrier who could pick it up. Never replied definite scam.
