Mercury
Hi there I put on here last week that my mercury 15hp wasn't pumpin water the person has done that now but I started it the Mornin and it won't run when not in gear why would this b

idle set to low is common, blocked carbs another and both v common.

On the basis all the obvious things are OK ( kill cord, fuel tap etc ) ...take it to someone else.....
He may have seen it run for a five secs , but sounds like it needs some proper TLC or careful DIY work on cleaning carbs , and set up etc .

Hi again my mate has been around and sed it to much oil in mix. I put 10litre of petrol and 100 0il. Its 100-1 is that right please help.im new to all this

Possibly 100:1 but I suggest you just get the motor looked at by a pro. Unlikely to be too much oil causing that.

The person who does my engine is a mancanic and he is good with outboard.

That's correct, 100ml oil to 10 litres fuel is 100:1 so you haven't done anything wrong.

I think that model run on 50 to 1 mix, but check with a merc dealer first.
