Mercury 9.9 price
Hello, I have bought a 2018 Mercury 9.9 engine, which after development has been used for only 7 hours. I bought a new RIB and I want to replace it with a new, more powerful one. What price can I look for.

New about £1700 I guess. Used 15yr old 2-strokes of that size are fetching good prices at the moment... perhaps £1200. Ask around £1400 for yours maybe in this robust market??

A new 9.9 is £2200 ish & not many in stock I'd ask 1750-1800 in the current market for an "as new" older engine
You can always drop the price if it doesn't sell but you can't ask more once its sold

I was rather thinking what he would have paid new in stating £1700 as I bought the Mariner version summer 2018 which was a little under £1700. The recent retail price increases are staggering.
As an aside checking out the current prices led me to notice Mercury are now selling a re-badged Tohatsu 9.8 2-stroke as a Mercury 9.9 in markets where that's still allowed.

Of course I have an invoice for the purchase. Unfortunately I sent the engine to Bulgaria the same week and it is still there. It was serviced there by an authorized service on 23.06.21

Ahh ok, thanks. Im interested in making an offer, are you planning on shipping it back to the UK? Are you selling it with a tank?

If you are really interested, I could put it here, but I will have to draw the oil. Of course, I sell it with everything it is bought with / tank, fuel line and tools /

A new 9.9 is £2200 ish & not many in stock I'd ask 1750-1800 in the current market for an "as new" older engine

Thats too much, they are readily available from many chandlers for around £2000 - and these will come with full warranty.
Think we are too far apart to come to any deal.
Thanks
Jack
