A 9.9 giving frightening performance? Come on!!!
My 3.5m zodiac SIB is rated for up to 25 hp. In the past I've had (older) 15 & 18 hp 2 strokes which can't get myself & 2 other adults to plane, let alone frighten me. I'll be getting a more modern 20 - 25hp for it this spring. I'd say go with the most power you are legally allowed, you never know when you'll want to take extra gear.
