Mermaid Turbo Four Stop Solenoid

Does anyone know what wires go where on the stop solenoid on a Pac 22 Mk 1. The stop solenoid has +ve, -ve and Aux. By connecting up +ve and -ve, the piston is held in place when it is compressed. When I connect -ve and Aux, it turns into a rail gun and fires the piston out of the end.

I know it shouldn't be difficult with three terminals and two wires but I don't want to kill it by experimenting any more.

In normal operation the piston is extended. When the kill cord is removed the piston retracts which closes a flap over the turbo inlet.

Can anyone help please?
