Yeah, little bit weird but if you consider the speed it reached (nearly 60mph) then it isn't a bad idea at all. The jackplate is home-made btw.

The engine didn't make it, so I'm looking for a new one now, think it will be a 70hp Yam 2-stroke. With a little bit of finetuning 60+ must be possible I think.

Nope, the shaft was damaged by planing it without powertrim but WITH a high mounting, semi-surface prop etc.

Hehe .. I used to have a klaxon on mine cos I could never hear the damn ring tone, and I mention bank, cos every time it went off in there, all the punters dived for the fire exits
