New pump housing fitted, can tighten the bolts and it doesn't affect the drive shaft resistance. Pumps decent flow. Temperature at the top of the block, gets to around 60 degrees at tick over.

I have fitted a tachometer with temp read out , as recommended Fenlander, cheers.

It'll be interesting to see how you find the temp bit of the rev counter. Look forward to hearing if it looks to give correct readings. Might upgrade to one soon.

Away next week for 2 weeks, Cornwall and then Dorset, Redcliffe,( subject to weather forecast) will update on the temp, used an infrared hand held to check it at tick over in the garden (one used for my.log burner) it was within 5 degrees.

Fingers Still crossed on the outboard, under load it may throw up some issues.......the oars are packed!
