Replace the prop shaft bearings, as well as the seals. Out of true shaft will have damaged them, and since its apart anyway, now's the time.

Got the upper and lower mounts out today. New ones on their way.

I still need to adress the play in the crush tube area around the lower mounts/gear linkage. I've priced a new SS compression/crush tube, and it was almost double the price of the complete solid mount set, meaning that option is pretty much out the window.

Has anyone got any advice for fixing it a bit cheaper? I have removed the top and bottom circlip, and have removed the tube from the lower yolk. However it still sits in place up the top, near the pan. Should it come all the way out? I realise that after many years, things have becomed seized, but i don't like beating things with a hammer when i don't know what they are, or how they are supposed to come out.

Parts ordered today-

Solid upper and lower mounts,
Pan bolts,
Power head gasket,
Water impellor gaskets,
Lower pan seal,
Tilt tube,
Yolk o-ring and rubbers

Started sanding everything back, hopefully i can start priming everything next week, and be ready to paint come the weekend.

Also removed shallow drive setup as per Surf life saving club setup.

Going to take my prop in and get a quote for some extra cupping and have them tidy up around the edges.
