nautica rib jet 10 ignition switch not working

Hi, The key ignition for my boat stopped working. Was cranking engine to do some compression tests. Cranked it a couple times. Went to crank again and nothing. Ignition is no longer "exciting" the gauge in the middle position, and will not crank motor in crank position. I still have power to the starter relay, and if I jump the relay lugs, motor cranks. But ignition is dead. Boat is yamaha powered so ign switch is a 3 position yamaha key switch with a lanyard under it which appears to be a sealed unit. Motor is a yamaha 760 jet. Thanks.
