New Engine???

Hi all I have an "AB Inflatables tender model 13 ALX"
it has a Yamaha 40hp 2-stroke on the back and I want to change it to a 4-stroke
the plate says "engine = 37.7KW 50hp"
should I go 40hp or 50hp will there be much improvement in performance with a 50hp i know power to weight ratio 2-stroke´s are better.
now which make do you all recommend?

Thanks in advance

First thing i would do is see if the plate also says what the max engine weight is. Because im guessing that a Yam 2 stroke 40 will be about the same weight as a 30hp 4 stroke. So if you bolt on a 40/50hp 4 stroke on the back you might have some weight problems!

Go for Evinrude E-Tec. They are in fact 2 stroke with direct fuel injection, so fuelwise they are even better than the Yamaha 4 stroke I have, and their weight is MUCH MUCH less than a 4 stroke. Let alone the torque...
