New engine from the US.

Someone offered me a new engine wich could be imported from the States.
Besides the warranty should there be any problems by doing this ?

Danny.

Depending on wich engine i guess, what i have heard for example is that the 300hp Yamaha VMAX HPDI is not CE approved.

Check with the importers in the UK if they will honour the warrenty.

I rang Barrus before importing my 2 Verado's. and they were happy as long as the engines were registered in their country of sale i.e. New Zealand. Mercury have a worls wide warrenty so everything is fine.

There should be a diference between the petrol in Europe and the states.
The octanelevel is higher in Europe then overthere.

Should this be a problem ?

Dan.
