Doesn't sound too far out of line.

Outboard prices are generally not advertised, so you have to talk to dealers to find out (which most don't do unless they're actively looking.)

Not sure what the prices stateside are like, but the fact that it already comes with a tiller is definitely something to factor in, considering how expensive a tiller is to purchase separately. But as JKY says, it's good to make some calls and do a net search to see what prices are being floated.

When it comes time for me to upgrade the outboard for my 4.7m sib, the ETEC 60 (or 65 commercial) would certainly be on the short list, along with the Honda 60 and the Suzuki 60.

It is interesting that the 2 stroke ETEC 60 is the heaviest of these three (242 lbs w/o tiller), while the 4 stroke Honda 60 is slightly lighter (239 lbs) and the 4 stroke Suzuki 60 is only 229 lbs.

50hp ETEC Rescue Pro is pretty popular with gov't teams.

60hp should be a good match. The ETEC 40, 50, and 60 hp are all the same weight anyways.
