New or used outboard

i am in the market for a small outboard somthing between 4 and 6 horses I am upgrading from a yamaha f2.5

I found I can get a new mariner 5hp for £875 or a 6hp for £935

I looked around for a used outboard but I can't seem to find anything resonable.

For example my local dealer wants £550 for a 2006 5hp tohatsu but that seems mental when I can get a new marinet for only about £300 more.

Am I missing somthing

...For that difference Id Definatly go New! Have a good shop around...there should be good deals on all Marques about this time of year on this...(soon to be last) years models!
You'll have a Warranty,PLUSS know the engine has been well maintained
