Seems to be marketing without independent testing.

Given we have been making props for quite some time now Id be surprised if anyone can come up with somthing new/better.

New and better marketing, sure. New and better prop design..............not convinced yet.

What the hell is it made of? 1/3rd the weight of Ali? Is that just because there's almost no metal and its mostly a plastic hub?

I had to laugh about the emphasis on graphics and colors...

Kind of an interesting ad. 1/3 the wt. of aluminum, yet an alloy - some titanium alloy, perhaps? If that were the case, you wouldn't need the advanced corrosion protection they tout. Other than that, it appears to be a lot of solutions for problems that don't exist.

Jack; if you look at phones, the biggest advertising draw after the brand name is the availability of colors.

The redirection of the flow into the hub MIGHT make a few % improvement.

But based on the ad which shows only a computer generated graphic I wonder if any have been manufactured yet?

Would be net resting to see a test (a proper comparative test)

Indeed.

I would also offer the high level thought (re. the safety aspect) that any spinning edge doing 800+ rpm, no matter how blunt - in a metal (or polymer) witgh HP dtiving it vs human flesh scenario - the prop is going to win every time. (How else does a strimmer work?)

Whether it improves fuel efficiency or not I will be very interested to see. Bring on the back - to back testing.....

I drilled some holes in a rather heavy Vance and Hines exhaust pipe on a racing bike once - thinking the lighter weight might me an advantage in a race. The bike unsurprisingly went a lot slower - but with a magnificent backfire on odd occasions - scared the s**t out of any opposition close by however!

It was pretty interesting. I am pretty damn skeptical of how they are going to address corrosion of magnesium in salt water. Magnesium is currently used for anodes on some freshwater boats since its far more reactive than zinc and thus protects Ali parts (like outdrives...) far better.

Not sure if a ceramic coated magnesium prop will actually work long term - especially in salt water.
