No kill cord

Browsing the bay, found this

http://bit.ly/1aG8heD

Is it just me that sees this as being a bit of a silly item to sell, surely that's just going to make it easier (or more tempting) for people run without a kill cord ?

Why is this product for sale without the Cord !!!!

That's shocking that an outboard supplier would sell an item like this. Very unprofessional in my opinion to be making a profit from something that is promoting unsafe practices.

wonder what Suzuki UK would think of one of their dealers promoting the idea of running without a kill cord

I've tried second guessing why they are offering this, perhaps as a spare but even that would not make sense really. Its a bit odd.

They are offering the kill cord fitting for Mercury & Tohatsu engines also. http://bit.ly/18Lg8KT

My 'Rude 5Hp has a spare clip strowed under the tiller. (as it does a spare shear & split pin under the cowl).

Spare clips are one thing, but that is just bizarre......

I can just about understand selling the clip on it's own without the whole killcord, in case someone has snapped the plastic bit and wants to repair not replace the killcord, but putting it on a keyring

Guys, they could be selling it with the intention of the cork and tab being attached to a cord to stop it sinking!

So sell the cork! They also sell the entire rig for £3 more

I understand your point but I cannot help wondering how many buyers will simply clip and use it as it is, recklessly or naively.

Technically it's misleading, title says "SAFETY LANYARD' there is no lanyard and there is nothing safety about it.

Spare ends makes sense. I normally use Honda parts, but by Brother has a Yam. Not sure what his fitting is, but if I have a Honda one all I need is the new end attached to my existing cord.
