No More Optimax 3 Cylinders

Well, end of an era Mercury have dropped the 75/90/115/125hp Optimax 3 cylinder. Replaced by the new Four strokes The Pro XS 115hp is still for sale for a while though.

It is rather amazing in this day and age at how terrible the Mercury UK website is! The last bit of news on it appears to be 2008.

Come on Barrus pull your finger out!!

I guess you guys are looking at... Mercury Outboards which seems semi abandoned as you say with the dealer by postcode search u/s and no manual downloads etc.

But I thought the main site for the UK was the eu one which has access to dealer info, manual downloads & still covers the old 2-strokes etc. Its news is as up to date as summer 2014 and the events page goes right through to 2015.

Yes you are right in all aspects. I just think in this tech age they should be doing something about the old site as it does come up and folk think that its the only one

>>>they should be doing something about the old site

Yep you're right... it's rubbish business practice to leave that old site up as it could bounce customers away from the product in frustration.

I've just had dealings with a company who decided over a year ago that facebook & twitter would suffice for their business... but they've also left the old website live with updates that stop around May 2013.... very off putting as it comes up first on Google and makes it look as if they've gone out of business.
