Nah, Louise was wrong but only because she didn't realise (and perhaps as she points out lots of other peeps) its "in gear" for an outboard.

I rest my case. Happy to meet you in Yarmouth on the next Solenti cruise, but don't worry about the crystal as the Solenti crowd have a tradition of using egg cups for toasts

but reviewing the thread can’t see why, has there been some post-postproduction changes carried out that have changed the thread

No crystal on my rib we use a bucket

in fact for almost everything

Im still confused. i mainly want to know if this is alrite if I run the engine while it vibrates. It not only when it idles it still does it when its in gear but lessens the faster you go. Im not the type to open up and chimmey with my new engine, so basically I just need some reassurance.

Yes its fine. The double oil mixture is upsetting the the slow running. Once you have done the 10 hours or so it will settle down on the normal mixture. The suggestion being made is to raise the tickover slightly to over come this.

I wouldn't muck around with the idle speed - if you do you'll probably just have to slow it down after you've finished running the engine in.

If and when you take it for its first service they should check/adjust the idle speed anyway.

Just to let yall know. The engine is workin great!
Took it out for the 2nd time today and it hardly vibrated at all. I guess its all part of the break in. Thanks for ur replies everyone.
