Oil Leak

I have an ongoing problem in one of my engines, oil is leaking from the oil pump.
Can anybody advice on what this could mean? what worries me is the possibility of a blockage in the line after the oil pump which in turn could be starving the engine of 2 stroke oil, is this a known fault in some 2 strokes from this area? or is it more likely to be just a seal thats leaking in the pump thats not effecting the oil flow to the engine. Obviously i need to look into this further before going to sea again because its getting worse and don't want to risk loosing one of the engines, Cheers, Tim

Blockage in the line after the pump is very unlikly unless there is a kinked line. Overhaul pump with a seal kit or replace pump. Don't forget to bleed the oil system after repair. If engines are of same age I would do both.

Thanks limey, looks like i may have to do that, bit of a pain though because its in a very tight place out of the way, looks like i may have to take the starter motor off to get to it?
