opti gear shift cable

is there a nack to getting the cable to locate at the engine end, do i have to dismantle anything to get it in? i just cant seem to get the cable to lie in the carrier and locate the round black stop in the hole at the same time

It's a bit of a fiddle, but you shouldn't have to dismantle anything. Locate the black cylindrical adjuster first, then the inner should line up with the gearchange linkage.

sussed it, too many cables and pipes in the way, cheers brad, the engine looks huge on the transom of the shakey

Helps to fit control cables first so they can enter the cowl where they like to sit
