ouboard to diesel performance swap

A friend of mine is considering swapping his 200 opti for a 250hp steyr. The engine alone without the leg is about another 100kg! All in is the diesel gonna perform aswell as the opti interms of top end with all that weight??

to be honest i dont know what it is.... its leisure lokking with quite a deep v almost revenger looking hull and i think about 7.8m long
