Well you could report him but I expect very hard to trace... personally I'd try add him to some spammers list!

I'd be keen to not let him walk away unscathed - you can't always assume the authorities know about these things.

One of the biggest downsides of the internet scummy thieving scammers, I just hope (having had 2 near misses) that they don't get anywhere !!!

He's almost certainly not on shetland, possibly not even in the UK, will be using an untraceable email address and now the advert is pulled probably closed that account and moved on to the next once. Move on, he'll already be well through chasing another victim. If you didn't loose money definitely not worth fighting them.
