Outboard rev counter

I wish to install a rev counter on the console linked to 20hp Mercury efi, is the signal wire available in the control handle console or do I have to go back to the outboard ?

The cheapest tachs are the induction type ones which employs a signal pick-up wire. What's the distance from the center console to any of the spark plug's wires routed same as both gear and throttle cables lenghts ?

At least 5 ft and a torturous route for a Sinaloa wire .

Which brand and HP is powering that 3+ meter Sib ? I usually install these excellent induction tachs : https://www.hardlineproducts.com/pro...ourtach-meter/

Comes with a long pick up wire, a matter to order one and check if reads well with an extra 5 Ft pick up cable of the same diameter prior routing and hiding it well. If doesn't read well can install it if there's available space on the lower motor's front pan.
