Outboard Stand

Buy or build an outboard stand for an outboard in the 70-90Hp range?

Are there any suppliers or designs you recommend?

I've got one of these for the 4hp to sit on.

A bit flimsy but adequate. Much better than anything I could cobble together!

Make one out timber? Pacer marine and Barnett marine sell metal ones with wheels.

Did this a couple of years ago. £30 for timber and a few bolts and screws. Wouldn't make it as high next time - but it served its purpose. http://www.rib.net/forum/f36/making-...and-34192.html

I've had a 30HP 2 stroke on this one I made a few years ago.

The design would need beefing up a bit for a bigger engine but it wouldn't take much.

Brilliant, thanks for the suggestions!

Barnet Marine want close to £200 for a 'proper' one.

I had thought about MIG-ing one up out of angle iron but I think solid timber is the way to go with coachbolts
