Protecting engine bracket and transom when towing
My teenage son picked up his Ribeye 3.1 today and it has a Yamaha 15hp on it.I towed it home for him but was but concerned about the outboard bouncing about when towing and the impact it may have on the engine bracket and transom.
I have seen people wedging wood between the bracket to take some of the shock but wondered if there were any purpose built transom/bracket savers on the market. The engine doesn't have a trim and the bracket doesn't look that substantial,am I over reacting or should I use a purpose built device or just go with making my own with some wood or rubber?
