putting 150hp on a avon adventura 620

hi i am upgrading my engine on my boat ( a avon 620 adventura)
fitting a 150hp suzuki the engine supplied did not have a prop, can anybody recomend what size
i am thing of a 23" pitch as i have lots of power
my old engine, a yam 100hp had a 21" pitch prop on and coped ok
i do carry about 4/6 divers with kit onboard so need to take this into accout

The DF150 has an unusually low ratio gearbox, so don't compare it with your Yam 100 on a like for like basis.

IBWET on here has a DF150 on a Ribcraft 5.8 and he's been experimenting with different props, so should be able to help.


EDIT: I'm assuming your replacement motor is a DF150. If it's an older V6 2 stroke, then ignore all the above.
