R.N.L.I. O.B.M.s

This is just an idle question, has anyone still got/use an ex R.N.L.I. obm? Its the twin cylinder ,single carb OBM.With all the extras that we put onto it for the R.N.L.I.Dont get excited I was contemplating my navel and just wondered.

This one is ex-contract but I am not sure whether it is ex-RNLI / ex-MoD?

HughN Yours is an ex MOD.I am only curious to know about the RNLI is because I was on the ground floor with other people on the developement of the 40hp two cyl,single carb obm, and had a lot of good times around the Uk and Ireland.

I had a 40 hp ex rnli unit which looked very good but I Never used it. I sold it to Andrew O reidron who put it on his tornado.

One of these? Still has the 17" shaft and large splash plate, Rubber electrical output on the side, the coolant passes across the top of the carb and a few others. No immersion proofing though.

Still going as strong as the day it was built.

We've got one of those units on our D Class Al...... Post sub kit removed but rest rnli spec still. Runs perfectly still.
