Remote cables and engine swap

I have a Yam 40 2 stroke but need to swap the engine for something smaller for my annual holiday to a lake in France to prevent the kids from exceeding the speed limit by quite so much and to look a little less conspicuous. I always used a 15hp Mariner short shaft with tiller but my new boat (Zodiac Futura S) is long shaft and has remote steering etc (not electric start).

I have acquired a Suzuki DF15 long shaft 4 stroke (the remote version)....is it simply a case of removing the Ultraflex steering arm and throttle/gear cables from the Yam and reconnecting or will the cable ends be different.

Advice appreciated.
