Solution

Use a suction pump, which you can get from any decent chandler/mechanicy kind of place, simply put the hose down the dipstick hole and pump it and it will sook it out - i have one that hold 7 L are about £40
OR -- i now have one that is 12V and is really good, removes oil and pumps the old stuff into a container of your choice -- easy.

The best bit is i know a really good shop that sells them and they are £32 -- and they have just had a new delivery of them -- and they do mail order -- (guess whos shop??)

email me if you want piccy -- or if you want one -- can send this week??

Pete
