Uncle Al,
Sorry to have missed your call earlier in the week... was actually out on a shout....
Will pm you my contact details in case you are ever over this way and so I can buy you that (those) pint(s). There is always a space on the boat if you fancy a spin out to see the dolphins
Hope you have a fantastic retirement and if I don't speak to you before a great christmas and new year
Dan

Al
So it has finally come around, I know you warned me that you would be hanging up your tools for the last time. Like the others can I wish you a long and healthy retirement.
You have been a diamond and have been a real beacon for Barrus. You got me out of a real hole and it was great to look around your empire.
If you are ever down South, you and your family are welcome to come out with us on "the house".
All the best
Steve
PS can you make sure someone else takes up your position

Al I am really delighted for you I hope you have many many years of happy retirement doing what you want to do. As one who has over the years benefited from your sage advice I will as others will missed your experience and kindness, when I am in a 'fix'.
I am sure your experience will not be lost as i am sure you will find yourself 'messing-about' with boats and engines with maybe a few glances at the Rib net forums. If you ever find yourself up here in the 'frozen' north give me a call.
Once again all the very best to you have a good one,I can recommend it as I did it in February this year.

Best wishes, Al.
Has this come around earlier than expected? I thought you were due to bail out sometime next year?

Hi Al,
Make sure you leave Tim the annual joke before you go! Was looking forward to seeing you on the course in Feb. But I expect you will be sunning yourself in some hot climate in your retirement.
Thanks for all your assistance over the years, have fun.
Best regards,
Gordon.

Hi Al,
OK so we will catch up with you in Feb, good. We never creep out after lunch as we have to stay for the 'interesting' M/Cruiser section in the afternoon! Now we get Yanmar as well.
Have a good Christmas.
Regards,
Gordon.
