Nice. What 4 blade equivalent would you recommend for the DF140/RC585 combo Dave?

I don’t mind sacrificing a little top end to get better hole shot and easier planing when towing a big sofa or wakeboarders. Can’t work out should I just go 4 blade 21p or step down pitch too?

From experience and based purely on empirical evidence, I’d suggest a 19p 4blade Solas from Steel Developments. I’ve found this to offer great grip in turns & the rough stuff. It’s around 10% less efficient fuel wise than the 20p 3 blade, due to the extra wetted area.
What’s your current WOT rpm & top speed?

That’s good as that’s the one I was considering (think. Alu to keep cost down as will get less use)

I’m very happy with the Suzi 3 x 13 7/8” x 21 stainless I have on for general use, I will touch 40knts with just me and not too much fuel @ 6,100 rpm ish

4 blade I’m thinking would be great for summer kids fun, tubing, wakeboarding etc to give better take off and stay on plane easier - do you think it would help? It more of a nice to have than essential really

Stewy is selling one as we speak, you’ll need a hub kit which is about £60

I see that but it’s a 13” diameter and I’m not convinced these are good for a DF140 after changing from a 3 blade Apollo one that my boat came with.

That’s the one I have on mine, it fits the DF140 perfectly.

I had it on my 4m searider with a 50hp etec. Crazy size for a 50hp. But worked.

I should probably keep it to try on the 545. But I think it'll be to big on a 115hp.

I struggle to reconcile a difference in diameter like this - when I had an Apollo 13x3x21 it would over rev and lacked get up, so reluctant to go this way with 4 blade as not convinced it will be any better than current setup once diameter reduction is factored in…
