Running "skegless"

Just wondered if there are any problems running with an outboard with the skeg missing.?
My insurance is handling the claim to get it repaired but I wanted to be sure the engine ran Ok and not find further on down the road ,once I had settled, that I had more serious problems.
I was thinking about a gentle tour around the bay just to check out everything was OK.
Any issues I need to be aware of ?
cheers Dal

Obviously your steering will be affected a bit, but that prop looks like it needs sorting out or else it will cause some Vibration through the engine.

Agree with Rogue again if the thing vibrates you could cause damage to the gear box, if i were you i'd not be using the boat, get the leg replaced on the insurance and get back boating, causing more damage isn't what you really want to do right now !!
