After I replace the other parts and give it a run again

Well had another look at it and as I didn't have a electric Pump I adapted the footpump that came with my zodiac futura
As said previously it went well after changing the impeller then the water dropped to about half and in my eyes wasn't a sufficient flow.
Well the pump and fittings fitted really well without any modifications.
I took the main pipe of the tell tail the larger one and pumped away 3 or 4 pumps I became almost impossible to pump it.
So i removed it and put in in a sink of boiling hot water. Attached the pump and BINGO. lots of hard bits of shells and what seemed like black sticky mud flowed out.
I'm. Confident this was the issue and when I get my other parts I will let you all know who's been helpfull the results.
In the meantime I will probably give it a flush with chemicals afterwards.

I found out the engine was mainly used in the lake district lakes barely any use in the sea. But obviously, it had been
