Seastar tilt helm

Looking at Seastar tilt helms & there appear to be 2 types, one has a corrugated rubber boot & the other is a solid plastic ball & socket type arrangement. I can't find out what the difference is between the 2, & Hypro marines website is a nightmare. Could anyone enlighten me & point out any problems/advantages with either type.

Cheers

PD

Nope, the 2 types are very different shapes.

The ranges vary slightly with each; I suspect the mechanicals are all pretty much the same.

You can compare the 3 tilt helms (and the fixed ones) by using the menu on the right side of this page:

Cheers fellas, I'm still not much wiser as to the difference between the 3 types though, they all seem to do exactly the same

The old classic tilt does not come with a pro pump. The sport is with pro pump. The New Sport Plus looks much like the old classic, but now features the pro pump.
