Depends on the engine 2or4 stroke you can buy service kits for diy my suzuki 90 4 stroke with labour £250 did myself £110 found when I changed the water pump impeller the gasket was missing off the pump body and been sikaflexed up will do it for myself from now on I had it serviced under warranty up to that point what p----d me off is that the manufacturer recommends a change every two years so the service should have serviced the pump twice only my opinion and I don't doubt there are good service engineers out there I just wonder what else didn't they do
