Service Manual Mercury 30HP 2stroke (international!)

Hello everybody, I'm new here! Last week I bought an Avon 3.45 supersport with 30HP Mercury 2 stroke (international!). I'll place some pictures etc. later.

For now I'm searching a workplace or service manual for the outboard engine. The international version means it is made in Japan. It also has a Japanese carburator and is different from the American 30 hp version. The international 30 hp engine has the same base as the 25 hp version and is lighter (in weight) than the American version. The Amercian version has the same base as the 40 hp version.

Hope someone can help me with this international service manual. I already have the American manual.

Greetings,

Daniel

Depends on the age. They are Tohatsu engines. The old 1980's ones were Yams.

Thankyou for the reply's. The engine is from the year 2000. That would be a Tohatsu then?

Yes, its a Tohatsu. I have a paper copy of the manual at work if you need anything specific.

If it's a tohatsu based mariner the serial number will start with an 0N if it's a yam based the serial number will start with probably something like a 6E9 number.

other place for manuals is Boatinfo.net

Scans can be a bit ropey, and the site is quite slow, but there is a lot of info in there.

I should add I have no connection with the site other than someone who has used it to answer questions about some of my prehistoric engines. ......and Daniel - welcome to ribnet!
